Firewall
The firewall of the Shelby Cobra is one of the most commonly overlooked areas to improve the look of the vehicle. The original cars mounted most of the electrical items on the driver’s side of the firewall. The use of more modern wiring systems on replicas made these unnecessary. Except if you want the period-correct look. It doesn’t take much to add these items and really dress-up the engine compartment. Even the Factory Five’s with their un-conventional foot box can be upgraded. These are new components and could be used in a wiring system that copied the originals.
